Purpose and Method of Processing
The Controller will process your Personal Data such as, for instance, name, surname, mail address (“Personal Data”) in order to allow you to participate to the event ICOLIM2020.
For the purpose of this notice, the processing of Personal Data implies any operation or set of operations which is performed using automated means and applied to Personal Data, such as collection, recording, organisation, structuring, storage, adaptation or alteration, retrieval, consultation, use, disclosure by transmission, dissemination or otherwise making available, alignment or combination, blocking, erasure or destruction.
Please be informed that this Personal Data will be processed manually and/or using IT or electronic support, or by companies supporting the organization of the event.
For the purposes indicated above, providing the data is necessary and any refusal may prevent you from participating to the event.
Purpose and legal basis of the data processing
TERNA will process your Personal Data for very specific purposes and only if there is a specific legal basis provided for under applicable personal data protection and privacy legislation. Specifically, the processing of your Personal Data is necessary to allow you to register at the event.

Recipients of Personal Data
We inform you that your Personal data is accessible to our duly authorized personnel based on need criteria and communicated to third parties in the following cases: (i) when communication is required by law and applicable regulations with respect to legitimate third parties, such as authorities and public bodies for their respective institutional purposes, e.g. anti-money laundering legislation, judicial authorities; (ii) communication to third parties in the case of extraordinary transactions (eg mergers, acquisitions, sale of companies, etc.).
Your personal data are also shared with our service providers, e.g. for services of a technical and organizational nature that are functional to the purposes indicated above. We provide to these entities only the data necessary to perform the services agreed and they act as Data Processors, based on the instructions received from TERNA.
TERNA does not communicate your personal data to third parties for marketing or profiling purposes.
Transfer of Personal Data
Your Personal Data will be processed and stored within the European Union.
Retention period of Personal Data
Your Personal Data will be stored for the above purpose in accordance with the principles of proportionality and necessity, and, in any case until the aims of the processing have not been pursued.
Rights of the Data Subject
Pursuant to Articles 15–21 of EU Directive 2016/679 (GDPR), in relation to the Personal Data disclosed, you have the right to:
- a) Access your Personal Data and request copies;
- b) Request that your Personal Data be rectified;
- c) Request that your Personal Data be erased;
- d) Request that processing of your Personal Data be restricted;
- e) Object to your Personal Data being processed;
- f) Obtain your Personal Data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format, and to transfer your Personal Data to another data controller without hindrance, where technically feasible;
- g) Withdraw consent to the data processing after registration, where applicable;
